We have approached this topic before and listed 5 cities that could be contenders for a Major League Baseball expansion team. To recap, we listed Salt Lake City, Portland (Oregon), Oklahoma City, and Louisville as possibly good fits for a new expansion team. We, however, made a serious omission. Nashville needs Major League Baseball now! How could I have possibly overlooked one of the coolest cities in the USA? Well, sadly, I did. But I’m here to fix that mistake.

The music city boasts many attractions. The best country music, the NFL team Tennessee Titans, the NHL team Nashville Predators, great restaurants, and great culture. But no baseball! Nashville could easily support the demand for a professional team with a metropolitan population around 2 million baseball hungry residents. In fact, according to a CNBC Your Money article, the city alone gained nearly 100 new residents DAILY in 2022.
People want to live here. Let’s give them some more reasons to stay.
