Authority Athletics recently looked at the Vancouver Canucks roster and identified some areas that need improvement in order for the team to make a deep run in the playoffs. One possibility to improve their top 6 might be Anthony Duclair of the San Jose Sharks.

Duclair wouldn’t be a huge splash for the Canucks but he would certainly help bolster their lineup. Duclair brings speed and skill and can play on either wing. The forward has two 20 goal seasons under his belt and a recent 30 goal season while playing with the Florida Panthers.

The sharks will definitely be looking to wheel and deal as the trade deadline approaches. Duclair could likely be acquired for as little as a 3rd round pick and will be a free agent at the end of the season. He carries a modest AAV of 3 million which the Canucks should easily be able to absorb. If the Canucks want a low risk-high reward acquisition, Duclair may be just the player.

WHAT DO YOU THINK – ANTHONY DUCLAIR ON THE CANUCKS?
