Everybody knows that New York Yankee fans are ruthless. But have they taken it too far with the recent booing of captain Aaron Judge?
Nobody is arguing that Judge has struggled early this season. He is hitting less than .200 and only has 3 home runs on the season. He would likely be the first to tell you that he is not playing up to expectations.
However, this is the same player who crushed 62 home runs and broke the American League home run record just 2 seasons ago. He is also the same player who has been the club’s best player for the last handful of years. Booing him is absolutely ridiculous!

I for one am wondering if other players might hear the boos and think twice about signing/playing for the pinstripes. Look no further than fellow superstar Juan Soto. Soto is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and will have many suitors. If I’m Soto, why would I want to sign long term with the Yankees when the fan base turns on their captain and best player after a few weeks of struggling performance.
