Authority Athletics previewed the NFC matchups yesterday. Today, we turn our attention to the AFC.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Buffalo Bills
Let’s cut to the chase: The Bills should run away with this one. The Steelers don’t have an offense and ranked near the bottom of the league this season in total offensive yards and points per game. Couple that with the fact that the Steelers will be without T.J. Watt and the Bills have been good at home this year with a record of 6-2. Case closed.
Cleveland Browns @ Houston Texans
I think this one boils down to quarterback play. C.J. Stroud is a special talent in the game, but how will he fare in his first playoff game. On the other end, Joe Flacco has tons of experience and success in the playoffs. This game could go either way, but I’ll give the advantage to C.J. Stroud and the home team.
Miami Dolphins @ Kansas City Chiefs
This is the matchup in the AFC I’m looking forward to the most. Tua Tagovailoa led all quarterbacks this season in passing yards while Tyreek Hill ranked 1st in recieving yards. That pair will be going against a Kansas City defense that ranked in the top 5 definsively in recieving yards allowed and points allowed per game. Kansas City gets loud and is a tough place to play. I’m rooting for the Dolphins but I think Mahomes and the Chiefs come out ahead by the narrowest of margins.
