5 Players that will be moved at the NHL Trade Deadline

The NHL Trade Deadline is less than one week away! For hockey fans, this is one of the most exciting parts of the season. Who will your team add to help bolster their playoff chances? Likewise, who is your struggling team going to unload to help build for the future? Below are 5 players who are definitely going to get moved on or before the NHL trade deadline.

Noah Hanifan: The Flames blueliner is a game changer and the only defender on the market capable of top pairing minutes. There will be several teams inquiring about the cost to obtain Hanifan. Ultimately, I think he ends up with the Florida Panthers.

Jake Guentzel: Guentzel is the best player available on the trade market. We are not going to spend too much time on this one as we wrote a whole article on the Penguins needing to move on from Guentzel. My prediction is he ends up with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Adam Henrique: The center market is really thin at this year’s trade deadline. Henrique is the best available center after the trades of Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan. There are a number of high-quality teams looking for center depth. I think Henrique ends up with the Bruins, Rangers, or Avalanche. If I’m a betting man, I’m picking the Bruins.

Jake Allen: The Canadiens will be moving on from one of their goaltenders at the deadline. It is simply not practical to continue to carry three goalies on the roster. I think Allen is the one who will provide the greatest return given his experience. I think he ends up in Colorado.

Anthony Duclair: Duclair is struggling this season, but his lack of production may be a result of playing for a terrible Sharks team. Duclair is a former 30 goal scorer and pending free agent. As a result, he should be viewed as a low risk high reward player for a team looking for secondary scoring. I think he ends up on the Edmonton Oilers.

Who else do you think will get moved prior to the NHL trade deadline?
